How to Request a Custom Streetwear Manufacturing Quote

A useful clothing manufacturing quote starts with a clear product brief. Send the garment type, quantity by style and color, fabric requirements, fit measurements, decoration and delivery destination. If some details are undecided, mark them as open questions so they can be reviewed before sampling.

You do not need a finished tech pack to start a conversation with CUTVANE. A reference image or product concept can help explain the direction. However, a reference alone does not define the materials, measurements or construction needed for an accurate production specification.

Start with the product and quantity breakdown

State whether you are developing hoodies, T-shirts, shorts or sweatpants. Give each different design a simple style reference, and list the quantity for each color and size. A collection total does not show how much fabric, decoration or trim each style requires.

CUTVANE's published starting quantities are:

ProductStarting MOQExplore the category
HoodiesFrom 100 piecesCustom hoodies
T-ShirtsFrom 300 piecesCustom T-shirts
ShortsFrom 200 piecesCustom shorts
SweatpantsFrom 150 piecesCustom sweatpants

Final MOQ may vary depending on fabric, colors, construction and customization requirements. Ask whether your proposed breakdown works; do not assume the starting quantity can be divided freely across different styles or colors.

Turn the visual idea into specifications

Use your reference to explain what should stay and what should change. For example, you might want the wider body of one reference but a different length and graphic placement. Label those decisions instead of sending several images without notes.

Part of the briefUseful information to send
FabricComposition, target GSM, interior or surface feel, intended season
FitSize range, key measurements, oversized/boxy/baggy direction
ConstructionHood, closure, ribbing, waistband, pockets, panels or hem details
DecorationArtwork files, dimensions, placement, colors and preferred technique
FinishWash, dye, fading or distressing reference and intended appearance
BrandingLabel artwork and positions, hang tags and packaging requirements

If you do not know the fabric weight, describe the feel and silhouette you want. If you do not have measurements, identify that as a development question. Avoid filling the brief with guessed specifications that may later need to change.

Compare quotes against the same brief

A lower number is difficult to assess when two quotations cover different work. Ask each supplier to identify the assumptions and inclusions behind the price, including sampling, artwork preparation, labels, packaging and delivery. Confirm the currency, quotation validity and any separately priced items directly with the supplier.

These are questions to resolve, not a statement that every item is included in a CUTVANE quote. Prices and commercial terms need to be confirmed for the actual project.

When a specification changes, keep a revised brief and ask whether the quotation or schedule also needs updating. This is especially useful when adding a wash process, another decoration placement or a different fabric.

Give a target date with context

Distinguish your launch date from the date you need finished goods at the destination. Sample review, revisions, approvals, production and transport are separate steps.

CUTVANE's typical sample development is 5–7 days after the main specifications are confirmed. Typical bulk production is 25–30 days after sample approval and final production details are confirmed. Quantity, fabric availability, construction, washing and special finishes can affect timing. Confirm the project schedule and shipping time before committing to a launch date.

Send your brief to CUTVANE

Discuss your project on WhatsApp and attach your references in the chat. Opening WhatsApp does not send the message or attach files automatically. You can also use the quote form.

If decoration choices are still open, review the customization options before finalizing the brief.
